Year after year, our Calgary camp has proven to be one of the most popular on the schedule. The area has a super enthusiastic and active population, the camp benefits from great on-site support from Rocky Mountain's Keith Brodsky, and the word of mouth that's stemmed from learning all kinds of fun new mountain bike skills has been simply amazing.
New for 2008 we'll be holding the morning skill sessions closer to the Bike Shop, thereby reducing travel time and extending what's left for on-bike learning. We'll also be incorporating trails throughout the city into our afternoon riding options, so that both cross-country and downhill oriented riders can get exactly what they want out of the camp.
Expect to dial in the trails at Bowmonth, Edworthy, Nose Hill and Tuscany. Then, if lifts and stunts are what make you smile the most, look forward to an afternoon out at Canada Olympic Park as well.
Note:
This location has a weekend camp on May 17-18, and a one-day camp on Monday, May 19. If you're looking to focus exclusively on certain skills, whether they are for adventure racing, bike park riding, or anything of the sort, consider attending the one-day camp. There every participant gets to choose every one of her morning skill sessions, and be able to program her entire camp just as she'd like.
