Youth After School Progression Program

Is your youth ready to get their wheels off the pavement and onto dirt with confidence? Is your family keen to enjoy the local trails, but not sure where to start?

The Norco Dirt Series After School Progression Series is here for your youth! Specifically catered to new riders ages 6-11 years old, build specifically for developing fundamental biking skills and having fun. Focusing on stance and balance, getting our of our saddles, pedaling on uneven terrain, and negotiating small obstacles – these sessions will provide your young rider with everything they need to start their mountain biking journey off right.

Riders will meet at their designated school activity field, and our coaches will be waiting for them with activities designed to build fundamentals through games and drills. This is followed by a short trail ride off pavement, where possible, to put those new skills into action and build confidence!

Riders will not only learn new biking skills, but basic bike maintenance, trail etiquette and make friends who love biking too.

Parents/guardians are welcome to bring their bikes and learn alongside the kids – although it certainly isn’t a requirement. The goal is to get more families enjoying our trails together.

Please note: Riders require the use of their own helmet & bicycle. Bikes must have working hand brakes (no coaster brakes please), and preferably functioning gears. If you are unsure if this event is right for you, contact our office to learn more.
